Ian Grant: consultant in plastic surgery, & hand surgery
My areas of expertise are plastic surgery (including skin cancer, and microsurgery), cosmetic surgery, reconstruction after trauma, nerve and hand surgery, and children’s hand surgery.
I have been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Addenbrooke’s Hospital Cambridge since 2005. I trained in medicine at Oxford University Medical School qualifying as a doctor in 1991. I trained as a plastic surgeon in London (Mount Vernon Hospital), Salisbury, East Grinstead, and Cambridge, and undertook fellowship training in hand, and micro-surgery in Leeds and Melbourne Australia.
I am an Honorary Senior Clinical Tutor for Cambridge University. I was the clinical director for plastic surgery at Addenbrooke's Hospital from 2010-2014. I am the director of an annual two-day course on hand surgery, and another on reconstructive surgery. I am regularly invited to lecture on plastic surgery, hand surgery, and peripheral nerve surgery.
I have postponed many of the operations outside the NHS planned for the months of April, May, and June of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We can now return to providing surgery for urgent, painfull, or functional problems. Please e-mail or phone if you think that I can help you.
I have switched clinics largely to video or phone consultations - I am happy to use Zoom (https://zoom.us). I can arrange for a chaparone to be present, and if need be can then arrange "face to face" review at one of the hospitals.
My office (01223 550881 firstname.lastname@example.org) can arrange a time with you and the best way to get in-touch.
I will happily carry out medicolegal work with review of the notes, and a video consultation. Please contact my office to arrange where and how to send any relevant notes (ideally e-mail notes using drop box or similar).
I am sorry if your care has been delayed as a result of the pamdemic, I appreciate how tough this must be, please do not hesistate to keep in touch
